Robert Seamans

Robert C. Seamans, Jr., had a long and distinguished career in aeronautical and astronautical engineering. He served as a Deputy Administrator at NASA, as Secretary of the U.S. Air Force, as President of the National Academy of Engineering, and as Dean of Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s School of Engineering.

Dr. Seamans is a trustee of the National Geographic Society and an overseer for both Harvard University and the Boston Museum of Science. The recipient of numerous academic and professional honors, he holds an M.S. degree in Aeronautics and a Doctor of Science degree in Instrumentation from MIT, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Harvard College.
