Lincoln Palmer Bloomfield is Professor of Political Science, Emeritus. He directed MIT's Arms Control Project as well as the UN and Interdependence projects. His books include The United Nations and US Foreign Policy (1968), In Search of American Foreign Policy (1974), The Foreign Policy Process (1982), and Managing International Conflict: From Theory to Policy (1997). Bloomfield also moderated the monthly MIT-sponsored "Seminar on American Foreign Policy and Global Issues" at the State Department Foreign Service Institute. He served 11 years in the State Department and was Director of Global Issues in the National Security Council.
